Sarah O'Kennedy B.A., H.dip.Ed., ATCL



Sarah O’Kennedy hails from Limerick. She studied voice with Marie Walshe, Limerick School of Music, in Leinster School of Music with Evelyn Dowling and obtained her performance diploma in singing with Trinity College London. She was a soloist with Anuna for 10 years, recorded, traveled and performed extensively with the world-famous group and through Anuna collaborated with such artists as the Corrs, the Chieftains, Brian Kennedy and Secret Garden. She was a soloist on the BBC’s Songs of Praise and performed for taoisigh and presidents alike.


Sarah has over 15 years experience singing at weddings, both in Ireland and abroad, including the wedding of actor Seainín Brennan (who stars in BBC's 'The Fall' and 'Hidden') and Ben Fetherston in the stunning St John's Cathedral Limerick 2015.  Also in Westminster Cathedral and the House of Commons when deputy prime minister John Prescott's son, David, married Kerry native Rozlynn Greene.  She also sang at the first civil union of 2008 in New Jersey City, USA, in the beautiful surroundings of Loew's Theatre, N.J.

Being from Limerick, Sarah is very proud to have sung at the nuptuals of many stars of the rugby pitch too, including Sean Cronin and Claire Mulcahy in 2015 in the beautiful surrounds of Castleconnell, Co. Limerick, Irish rugby captain Brian O'Driscoll and actor Amy Huberman in Co. Leitrim, 2010 and Eoin Reddan and Aoife O'Gorman in July 2009 in Doonbeg, Co Clare.



Her other passion is singing jazz and she has sung with the Van Heuson Trio and with Dublin band Fever at many venues around the country.

Christmas 2010 and 2011 Sarah toured with the grammy award winning harper Janet Harbison and The Irish Harp Orchestra all over Germany as their principal female soloist.

Sarah is a member of the Irish Chamber Orchestra Chorus and also performed in Maire Keary-Scanlon's Path of Miracles choir in 2014 for their series concerts in Limerick, Cork, Dublin and Galway.


In 2013 Sarah won Church Singer of the Year at the Weddings Online.ie Awards.
